- Each year, the Gatton Academy admits 60 Kentucky students who apply during their sophomore year and are awarded admission based on ACT/SAT scores, grades, responses to essay questions, recommendations and personal interviews. Instead of spending the junior and senior years in traditional high school, students are dually-enrolled at the Gatton Academy and live in a uniquely dedicated residence hall. Taking courses offered by WKU, students earn at least 60 college credit hours in addition to completing high school. A full list of session dates and times is available at: www.wku.edu/academy
